Herds of bison wander across the road in Yellowstone's Lamar
Valley.
If you see a herd coming towards the road, stop and wait.
It's great to be the 1st car in the "bison jam" as they walk
past.
Better than being behind a bunch of cars and unable to see them.

Bison in May are pretty scruffy.
Snow has just melted recently, allowing the roads to re-open for
tourists.
Heavy winter fur is falling out and making big tangled clumps
that haven't yet fallen off.
