Major road construction on the Trans-Canada Highway (aka Yellowhead Highway)
between Jasper and Mount Robson.
One lane of the two-line highway was closed for repaving for a few miles.
Had to wait 15 minutes or more on the way to Mount Robson.
Same on the way back.
People took it in stride -- got out of their cars, chatted, smoked
cigarettes, etc. until the cars stopped coming from the other
direction.
Made us late for our boat tour of Maligne Lake, but they were really
helpful when we arrived with seconds to spare.
Held the boat for us while they drove Jerry in a golf cart from the
parking lot to the dock.
