Had to stop in the middle of building the new stone steps and walls, and temporarily tear up the slate landing, to make room for heavy equipment to build the new vestibule. See the stone steps project here.

Tear off all shingles and plywood.  There were a few softish spots, so may as well replace all of the plywood, and do it right.  This is the west edge of the main roof.

The sunroom roof already has skylights.  The same crew put them in a few years ago.  Has lighting in the eaves.  Note the water damage at the bottom right edge of the roof.  We'll replace that.

2009-05-27_030_TrimAndEventuallyNewGutters.jpg
Lots of trim required for new roof overhangs, and eventually all new gutters and gutter covers

2009-08-19_003_RainwaterDeflectorNeededAtCornerOverDeck.jpg
One problem after it was all done.  The new, better-designed join of the sunroom roof and main roof drains much more efficiently, without having one gutter drain into and overflow another.  But in heavy rain, the water moves fast and overshoots the gutter or splashes off of the new gutter cover.  Had to add a deflector.
